7.6 and a Dark Tracker: The Day Work Carried Everything Else
7.6, Steady, and a Tracker That Went Dark
The number says 7.6 and the mood says steady, and honestly, both are true. This wasn’t a bad day. It wasn’t a great one either. It was one of those days where one dimension does all the heavy lifting and drags the rest across the finish line whether they earned it or not.
Work came in at a 9. That’s the story of the day, no dressing it up. I ran a full pipeline review with nearly every rep accounted for — surfaced the outbound gaps that have been quietly rotting under the surface, put accountability where it needed to go, and mapped the current push with the whole team in the room. That’s real leadership output. Not busywork, not motion — actual movement. When work is a 9, a lot of sins get forgiven.
And I did sin. Habits came in at a 6, which is generous, because the truth is the tracker just went dark. No workouts logged, no food logged, nothing. That’s the real embarrassment of the day.
The Log Doesn’t Match the Day (And That’s on Me)
Here’s the thing that bugs me. Health scored a 7 and my sleep readiness was 91 with a sleep score of 85 — excellent deep sleep, low stress, low restlessness. My body was ready. It was primed to train. And I logged zero movement. The standard is two sessions a day — swim in the morning, weights or BJJ in the evening — and I hit neither.
The nutrition log stayed empty too. I ate today, obviously. I’m not fasting, I just didn’t capture it. And that’s the part I have to be honest about: when I don’t log, I can’t manage. Tracking is the whole point. A dark tracker doesn’t mean the day didn’t happen — it means I flew blind through it. The log should match the day, and today it didn’t.

Bedtime last night was 00:31. My line is 23:15. I blew past it by over an hour and somehow still woke up recovered, which is almost worse — it lets me pretend the late night was free. It wasn’t. The sleep score bailed me out this time. It won’t every time.
Steady State: Everything Quietly Holding
The rest of the board held without much drama, which is its own kind of win. Finance was an 8 — portfolio roughly flat on the day, budget spend tracking within reason. No fireworks, no watching the ticker minute-by-minute, which means the system is doing its job. The whole point of the AI-recursion thesis is that I don’t have to babysit it. It compounds while I run pipeline reviews and drop Lior at gan.
Family was an 8, faith a 7, system an 8, goals an 8. Daphna’s world was represented in the schedule, the automations ran the morning brief on time, the calendar structure held. Nothing broke. That’s what steady actually looks like — not thrilling, just intact.

So here’s tomorrow, and it’s simple. In bed by 23:00 — that’s the single biggest lever I have, everything downstream of it improves. Tefillin first thing, because faith sets the frame before the day sets it for me. And two workouts, no skips, swim then weights or BJJ. The work carried today. Tomorrow I want the log to match the day — not because the number needs to be higher, but because a 9 in work and a dark tracker everywhere else isn’t a life, it’s a lopsided spreadsheet. Yalla. In bed by eleven.
